Public Domain exploded onto the
dance scene with their tough tech-trance stormer, Operation Blade.
Released across Europe, it was a Top 5 pop hit in the UK. Their
follow-up single, Rock Da Funky Beats, was another huge success,
featuring the legendary Chuck D from Public Enemy alongside this
Scottish electronic act. Both singles are included on their debut
album - Hard Hop Superstars.
Hard Hop Superstars was inspired by the band's trademark fusion of
hard dance and hip hop. The result is the first 'hard hop' album, a
genre-splicing bang up of crunching guitars, intelligent beats and
rabid MCing that's almost impossible to resist. Full of hard house
anthems, besides the above mentioned singles, this package also
includes Too Many MC's and Let Me Clear My Throat, a hard hop remake
of the DJ Kool rap classic. With their arrangements and
instrumentation, Public Domain can easily take on the Basement Jaxx
with their eyes closed.
Hard Hop Superstars exemplifies no-frills hardcore brilliance. Happy
hardcore insanity has never sounded healthier. |
